I want to show you some of the most fun-tastic signs on the planet...Having just returned from a short trip to Disneyland & California Adventure recently, I realized that most of the photos I took were of the great signs I saw around almost every corner. So mad props to the team of artists, designers, imagineers, craftsmen and everybody who played a part in creating these cool signs.
Great Signs from Disneyland
My daughter's friend is a tour guide on this ride. She just had the "comedian" George Lopez as a passenger...just a little pressure... Hand Painted sign on plank wood, complete with fish net, chains for hanging, and hung at an angle for a great effect. The mural below is on the front of this same building, probably about 4' high by 8' long or so, and is lit from above.These photos were taken during the Christmas Holiday Season. The Haunted Mansion changes to a "Nightmare Before Christmas" theme for Halloween, and stays that way through Christmas until they change it back to the original theme. This is just one of the many Holiday signs and decorations around the mansion. Not all signs are created equal. This banner first caught my eye because it was really detailed for a banner. Then I noticed that it was not just a banner, but a banner with a 3-D component to it. Then I saw the steam rising out of the smokestack of the train engine! It would blow off some steam about every 10-15 seconds. So cool. This was the first photo I took inside the park.

I don't know about anybody else, but this kind of quality work inspires me. These are just some of the photos I took of the signs of Disneyland. The quality of these signs is just superb, as is pretty much everything else Disney puts their stamp on. The one thing I like about Disneyland is the over and above effort and thought that goes into everything. Not just the signs, but everything.
